The practitioners and professionals at Infinite Technologies know that treating children is not the same as treating adults. Infinite Technologies has been helping families with their orthotic and prosthetic needs for nearly 15 years and we will be your partner to help you through the process. Many of our practitioners have developed close relationships with other pediatric specialists in the area, including physicians and therapists. We work closely with these physicians, private therapy practices, county programs and public school systems to ensure our kiddos are getting the best possible treatment. Every patient is independently evaluated and a unique treatment plan is developed. All of our evaluations are free of charge with no commitment necessary. We accept all insurances and review any of out of pocket costs with families before proceeding with any services.
Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics: Design Considerations
Pediatric devices are not simply adult devices made smaller. There are many additional design considerations that need to be accounted for when dealing with children. Whether we are accommodating for growth spurts, sensitive skin, or swinging from the monkey bars, all of the devices provided by practitioners at Infinite Technologies are designed with these unique challenges in mind. Over the years, we have been able to improve our designs using different materials and technologies to specifically help our pediatric patients. Our state of the art fabrication lab makes use of lightweight, but durable carbon fiber to help reduce weight and bulk of some pediatric devices. And our unique cranial molding helmet, the KidCap, has been perfected to achieve optimal results with a full coverage clear design that allows you to monitor skin conditions even while wearing the helmet. At Infinite Technologies, we are not partial to any one brand or company but rather we use a wide range of both off the shelf and custom devices selecting the best device to fit the patient’s needs. Whether we are making the devices in our own fabrication lab, getting custom devices fabricated from other pediatric companies, or using off the shelf pediatric brands, you can be assured that your child is getting the best possible treatment.

Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics: Practical Considerations
Our facilities feature kid-friendly spaces where kids can play and move while going through their orthotic or prosthetic treatment. In some situations, we can provide co-consultations in conjunction with your physician or therapist in an effort to save time and hassle. These can be held at one of our locations, or if our schedules permit, at your physician’s or therapist’s office. Our staff also works with parents to provide information, training, and resources to help them with their child’s new device(s). Whether temporary or life-long, the implementation of a pediatric orthotic or prosthetic will take some adjustment in day-to-day life. We are happy to help you prepare for these adjustments.
