Infinite Technologies is highly trained and experienced in fitting “off-the-shelf” and custom upper arm / shoulder orthotics for corrective, rehabilitative, and post-recovery conditions. We see patients with fractures, tendonitis, contractures, wrist drop, and postural problems. Based on your initial evaluation and diagnosis, we will pair you with an appropriate brace that will improve your upper extremity comfort and functionality. After our selection of a brace, we will show you how to put it on and take it off safely and appropriately and make all necessary modifications to ensure a correct fit. After we are sure you are comfortable and the brace is performing its necessary function, we will make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed before we let you go. When Infinite Technologies is involved with orthoses, patients receive the most customized treatment. Even our “off-the-shelf” devices are modified and customized for the best fit possible.
This brace is adjustable and is ideal for clavicular fractures and postural problems. It stabilizes the clavicle, decreases pain, and improves shoulder joint function while simultaneously improving the quality of shoulder movement. This brace is simple to don, comfortable, and results in high patient compliance.
Conditions: Clavicle bone fracture
This rigid polyethylene material that is lightweight and durable applies compression to the soft tissue around one’s upper arm which helps control and stabilize the arm. A deltoid cap extension prevents this brace from movement. The brace is designed to provide total contact and compression for optimal control of the humerus but allowing for range of motion of the shoulder and elbow. Keep in mind when donning this brace to make sure the thin translucent plastic goes between the two pieces of thick white plastic. This brace can be used with a shoulder sling or by itself.
Conditions: Humeral diaphyseal fractures, deep humeral bone bruising
The shoulder abduction brace is a static brace that holds the arm in abduction with the elbow flexed and the forearm pronated. The brace is adjustable and allows for optimal anatomical adjustment. This brace should hold the arm at approximately 15-20 degrees away from the body in a neutral position.
Conditions: shoulder dislocations and post op surgeries, brachial plexus injuries, prevention of upper extremity joint contractures, Erb’s palsy, Post muscle release, and tendon transfer of the shoulder.
